Support for creditors and stakeholders

Secured creditors

If you hold security and need to recover debt, we can assist, acting as receiver under or administrator of the borrower.

As licensed insolvency practitioners, we undertake a full review of the borrower's circumstances and can advise and implement other options that non-licensed receivers cannot. For example, if the borrower is operating a business, it may enhance recoveries under fixed and/or floating charges if value in goodwill and intellectual property are preserved as a going concern, utilising an insolvency procedure and in times of uncertainty around property values, this could make a significant difference to recoverability.

Landlords of commercial premises

Landlords often suffer as a result of corporate failures, but it does not always need to be the case. We work with property owners to help identify trends that could indicate default at an early stage and then work with all parties to find an optimum outcome.

We also have experience representing landlord interests where tenants have proposed a company voluntary arrangement (CVA) or have suffered an insolvency event or default.

Unsecured creditors

If you are owed money but don't have security we may still be able to help. We work closely with credit control specialists, debt recovery agents and solicitors and will look at all the options before invoking a heavy handed approach.

We can also offer guidance if one of your customers is going into or has gone into an insolvency process and you need representation at a meeting of creditors, simply want to understand more about what has happened, or have concerns about the circumstances of the failure.
